Launch of the Voluntary Arts Policy

The new Policy was launched in The Michelin Arts Workshops in The Braid Arts Centre in November 2011. The Policy supports local Arts groups in their use of the Arts Centre and it is hoped it will help expand the Arts Services within the Borough.
It will give local organsiations a platform to build on their existing infrastructure, develop their potential and showcase their work at The Braid Arts Centre
Launching the Policy, Councillor John Carson, Chair of the Cultural Services Committee stated,
' Ballymena has a wealth of talent in the arts and creative industries, and we are very proud to boast about our local groups.
We want to help them grow and be sustainable, so with this in mind we have developed, in partnership with the groups, this new Voluntary Arts Policy. We look forward to seeing them showcase their work in The Braid Arts Centre'
