The Screaming Silence of the Wind – a review

Mid-Antrim Museum’s autumn exhibition ‘The Screaming Silence of the Wind’ received wide spread public praise.  This exhibition celebrated the work of local artist Maurice Orr and was created specifically for visually impaired people.  A series of workshops provided secondary school pupils with the opportunity to create their own artwork inspired by the exhibition.  Many interested parties visited The Braid to tour the exhibition including The Culture, Arts and Leisure Committee of the Northern Ireland Executive (pictured).  This exhibition is part of the Cultural Olympiad Unlimited programme and was developed in partnership with London 2012 and the UK Arts Councils, in consultation with the disability arts sector across the UK.
