The Ballymena Community History Partnership Programme programme is outlined below:

Events and Dates

  • Talk on the Great War by historian Philip Orr and Trench Line Lectures: Thursday 27th November 2008 (book now!)
  • Guided tour and visit to Somme Heritage Centre: Saturday 6th December 2008 (book now!)
  •  Making History exhibition launch: Thursday 18th December 2008
  • Tour of Moravian heritage at Gracehill: Date to be confirmed
  • Family history workshop: Date to be confirmed

  • Visit to Chester Beatty Library, Dublin: January 2009
  • Multimedia learning session at The Nerve Centre, L'Derry: January 2009
  • 'Ballymena's Flamingo' reminiscence evening dedicated to the Flamingo Ballroom: February 2009
  • Guided tour of the Linenhall Library's Political Collection and tour of Belfast's Titanic Quarter: February 2009
  • Second World War community history workshop: February 2009
  • Guided tour of the Boyne and New Grange: March 2009
  • 'History Talks' discussion and workshop with guest speakers. Topics include Flight of the Earls, the 1798 Rebellion and the 1801 Act of Union...
