FabLab NI Project with Ballymena Inter Ethnic Forum Create Culture Map

FabLab is a digital fabrication workshop which allows anyone to make practically anything! Developed by MIT in Boston, almost any concept which can be designed on 2D or 3D software can be manufactured within the labs and skills developed around IT, Design and Fabrication. The FabLab has been working with Ballymena Inter Ethnic Forum to create a Culture Map, a map of Mid and East Antrim Borough showing our rich local cultural diversity. The workshops were facilitated by artist Tim McCarthy from Re-Ink-Our-Nation and funded by Voluntary Arts Ireland as part of the Creative Citizen Programme. The final artwork is now on display in the Arts Workshop in The Braid Arts Centre.
