Ballymena Borough Council, in partnership with Newtownabbey Borough Council, have recently installed an interpretative panel at the car park located at the top of Big Collin Mountain (B94).  The panel provides information detailing two RAF air crashes which occurred in the vicinity during the Second World War.  Ballymena Borough Council would like to thank members of the Ulster Aviation Society who provided advice and guidance on this project.

Pictured at the unveiling, which took place on Thursday 27th November, are Mr Ray Burrows, Chair Ulster Aviation Society; Mr Ernie Cromie, Past Chair, Ulster Aviation Society; Jayne Clarke, Museum & Heritage Manager, Mid-Antrim Museums Service; Noreen Mullan, Museums Assistant; Mr Simpson and Mr William Cobain whose historical research provided the bases for this panel.
