Past Workshop: Step Back to...Wartime Ballymena drama workshop

Big Telly theatre company will be delivering four drama workshops for schools in April 2009 at The Braid. Commissioned by Mid-Antrim Museum each workshop will feature two professional actors in role as wartime Ballymena Characters. There are cross-curricular links to the Key Stage One and Key Stage Two curriculum including: 

  • The Arts - Drama: Develop a range of drama strategies including freeze frame, tableau, hot seating, thought tracking and consience
  • The World Around Us: Interdependence -how they and others interact in the world/ Place-change over time in places
  • Personal Understanding and Health - promote self esteem, self confidence and how pupils develop as individuals/Create empathy - develop pupil's management of a range of feelings and emotions and the feelings and emotions of others
