Past Exhibition: 'Double Vision: Young Curators' Exhibition

This special exhibition has been curated by two groups of young people from Ballymena and Sligo.

The exhibition, funded by the International Fund for Ireland, features work from the social history collection of the Mid-Antrim Museum and The Niland Collection, Sligo.   Since 2010 two youth groups from Ballymena and Sligo have worked with curators to gain an insight into working with both collections and acquire an understanding of the role of a curator.  The exhibition highlights the theme of art and music connecting and bringing people together.  Through the development of critical thinking and visual literacy skills, it is hoped that this project has assisted both groups in raising awareness of each other's political geographies and discovered shared histories.

The exhibition title is the name of the 3rd track on Rory's 1982 album 'Jinx'.  Rory played the Flamingo Ballroom on 22 June 1971.
