Past Exhibition: Legends in the Landscape

This exhibition explores some of Mid-Antrim's most legendary stories and compares them with the recorded history of the sites concerned.  

The Legends in the Landscape exhibition highlights how legends and folklore form an important part of our local cultural identity.  Stories are brought to life through a range of media including short films and dramatic large-scale graphics to create an immersive and engaging experience.

Saturday 30 July - The museum has organised a Myths & Legends Coach Tour.  Visit the sites made infamous by Dr Colville of Galgorm Castle, the Coach Road travelled by a family of highwaymen, the legend of the Headless Horseman (Squire O'Hara of Crebilly), Lady Isobel Shaw of Ballygally Castle and listen to numerous folk stories as we travel along the Co Antrim coast.  Enjoy a fascinating half day tour of these and other sites with a professional guide.
