Past Exhibition: A Common Thread

A Common Thread Exhibition - quilts and embroidery inspired by the poetry of the Rhyming Weavers

This exhibition features artwork created by women from the Loose Threads quilt group and the Golden Threads embroidery group.  The Rhyming Weavers was a term used to describe a group of rural, working class poets who began to publish their work, written in the local Ulster-Scots dialect, during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century.   This display is a study of, and a celebration of, the work of these country poets.
