The participants of Wilson House Day Centre Creative Reminiscence Group, Broughshane, visited the Braid on Monday 4th April to see the ‘These Hands’ exhibition.  Participants’ hands were reproduced in plaster and an item from their working lives is displayed with individual photographs. These creative sessions were facilitated by Dr Geraldine Gallagher.

The group enjoyed their visit, with some bringing along friends and family to see their work, and one man commented ‘it’s great to have a change of scenery.’ Participants also received a tour of Mid-Antrim Museum and found out a bit more about the history of Ballymena and the surrounding area.

The ‘These Hands’ project was delivered by the Reminiscence Network Northern Ireland and Northern Health and Social Care Trust with funding from Big Lottery Fund.

The display, which is located outside The Braid cafe, will be on show until the end of April.
