Russians visit The Braid
23 June 2008The Braid Arts Centre will open it's doors to over 30 Russian dancers form The Russian Classical Ballet Company on Friday 19th September, with a stunning performance of Swan Lake. One of only 3 dates in Northern Ireland, the Company formed by Elik Melikov tour worldwide including China and Australia - this is their 1st visit to Ireland.
The Braid Arts Centre is very proud to host this event promoted by David Hull Promotions Rosalind Lowry, Arts Development Officer commented,
'we are extremely excited about our Russian visitos and news is travelling fast with enquiries already about ticket - even before they are printed. I hope the Dancers enjoy their first visit to Ireland and may be come back to perform at our wonderful new Arts Centre in the years to come'
The new arts calendar at The Braid Arts Centre is bursting at the seams with events, festivals and shows, from the introduction of new Festivals such as the new International Children's Arts Festival or the new Women's Festival to old favourites like the Ballymena Festival of Music, Speech & Dance.
