A Celebration of Community History is the Mid-Antrim Museums Service's Making History exhibition showcasing the achievements of local community groups in Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne and Newtownabbey.

Memories of Changing Times in Larne
Bringing the World Home to Newtownabbey &
Linking Past and Present in Carrickfergus

This exciting exhibitions will bring together objects, films, memories and people from across Mid-Antrim to celebrate community history.

Highlights include:

  • * The story of flax production from Glenravel to Cullybackey
  • * Local mills including the Braidwater Spinning Mill, Frazer and Houghton, Cullybackey and the Phoenix Weaving Company
  • * Stories from near and far as told by members of Ballymena's Inter-Ethnic Forum
  • * Exploring local history in Dunclug and Ballykeel
